JUDITH (KHACHATOORIAN) BAMBER

June 25, 2024

To Suzanna
Dear Suzanna. So much time has passed since Brad's passing but I have just become aware of it.
My condolences to you and your family.
My name is Judy Bamber. My first husband, Haig Khachatoorian, and I were close friends with your father and mother (Bette). We first met when we were all living in the same apartment complex in Fairbanks, Alaska. Later, we co-owned the shop in Salsalito, California called "Wave Traders" and spent many a day with them on the boat and in town. Bette visited me in the hospital when I gave birth to our daughter, Selena. She gave me a stained glass heart to hang, which I treasure and still have. I had previously tried to locate Bette through Brad, but had no success. I would, very much, like to contact Bette and catch up with both of our lives. Can you assist me with this? My contact information is Judith Bamber, PO Box 112, Howell, MI 48844 USA. ([email protected]) (cell - 1-517-375-0168). Thank you.

To Susanna:
Dear Susanna,
it's with great shock and disbelief that I just found out about your dad's passing a year ago. You may perhaps remember me. We met a few times when Brad and I were friends (late 90s) while he was still living in Devonport, later on then on his boat at Westgate Marina.

We lost touch with each other over the following years when he spent some time in Europe and the U.S.

I fondly remember our many sailing trips around the Hauraki Gulf which helped me with my own grieving at the time as I had just lost my husband to leukaemia.
I'm so very sorry that you couldn't have enjoyed your dad for many more years. What was the cause of his early death?

My thoughts are with you and your family,
Birgit Rhode
