Betty THWAITES Obituary

THWAITES, Betty Morphett (nee Macleod). Died peacefully at the Annie Brydon Complex Hawera, on Thursday 22nd June 2017, aged 94 years. Beloved wife of the late Jim. Loved mother and mother-in-law of Fiona and Lloyd Duffy, John and Alison, Stewart and Sarah, Rob and Alison, Philip and the late Catherine. Loved Granny of Mark, Olivia, Ben, and Casey; Jane, Michael, Joshua, Coby, and Emma; Karen, Guy, Hannah, Jack, and Henry; Anna, Jason, Giuseppe, and Florence; Jenni; Jesse and Annabel; Beba; James; Zana, Victor, Marija, and Kajo; Jesse; Mylie and Matt; Hilary and Nick; Christopher and Maddi; Campbell and Anitra; Samuel and Sarah; Alice and Jonas; Hannah; and Victoria. All communications c/- Hardings, PO Box 605 Hawera 4640. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Cuthbert's Church, which has been Betty's church her whole life. These may be left in the receptacle in the Church foyer. Friends are invited to a celebration of Betty's life at St Cuthbert's Anglican Church, Manaia on Thursday 29th June 2017 commencing at 11am. No flowers by request.

The world is a poorer place for the loss of Betty. Our family is richer by far for having known her. She was a vital part of a dynamic team who loved the Jersey cow and made it a point of sharing that love with the world. She and her "Jimmie" were the original "dynamic duo." They are together again.
