Betty THORPE Obituary

THORPE, Betty (nee Webster). Born 18th December 1921. Betty passed away peacefully Tuesday evening 12 February 2019 aged 97. Originally from Herne Bay then 42 years at The Circle in Milford. Loving wife of the late Ray. Daughter of the late Trentham Charles and Rose Webster. Sister of the late Blair and Capt Dick. Betty has had a fulfilling and successful life with her involvement in law, yachting and bringing up her four children Peter, Geoffrey, Blair and Sally. She leaves a wonderful family legacy with her children, her 14 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren. A service for Betty will be held at St Mary's Catholic Church, 117 Onewa Road, Northcote on Monday 18 February at 11am. (The Church is disabled friendly) Rest in peace Mum, forever in our thoughts. The family request no flowers please, donations may be made to the Coast Guard. These can be left at the church.

My heartfelt condolences to the family
Betty touched my heart and it was a such a great pleasure to get to know her. Such a beautiful and accomplished woman. A caring and witty woman till the end. Lovely to see how much Betty was cared for by her loving family. A much loved and surely missed legend. May you be at peace Betty.

THORPE, Betty (nee Webster). Born December 18, 1921. Passed away February 12, 2019. Adored Mother to Geoff, Grandmother and Great Grandmother to Nick, Mike, Preetidutta, Jacqui, Kate, Ralph, Oscar and Hugo. We adored and admired your strength of character, witty sense of humour and thoughtful, caring nature. You are an inspiration to us all and leave behind an incredible legacy after 97 years. We will always cherish the amazing memories we shared with you. Rest in peace Nana Betty
