Betty CHOY Obituary

CHOY, Betty June (nee Ah Chee). Aged 95 passed away peacefully on 29 January 2018. Much loved wife of the late Ken, and dearly loved mother and mother-in-law of Colleen and Wayne, Eileen and David, and Robert and Nelly. Very special Por Por and Mah Mah of Janine and Jason, Michael and Hawon, Tim, Julie, Matt, Katy, Andrea, Ryan and Hannah and Amanda, and her five great grandchildren Benji, Alex, Emily, Ethan and Oliver. Betty was a truly beautiful, loving and gracious woman, kind and generous to everyone she knew. She will be forever cherished in our hearts and will be so deeply missed by us all. Special thanks to all the staff at Eden Lifestyle and Care Village for their kind and wonderful care. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Betty's name to the charity Nga Tangata Microfinance Trust, P.O. Box 99-890, Newmarket, Auckland 1149. Betty's service will be held at the All Saints Chapel, Purewa Crematorium, 100 St Johns Road, Meadowbank, on Saturday 3 February at 11am.

A wonderful sister and sister in law to Bruce and Grace Ah Chee, very special memories of friendship and love shared with Betty and Ken Choy.
Betty was a gracious and kind woman, who will be fondly remembered by Grace Ah Chee, Tina Ah Chee, Nigel Rayneau, Kyla Rayneau, Trey Rayneau, Richard Ah Chee, Tao Ah Chee and Taron Ah Chee.

Dear Colleen, Eileen and Robert. I am saddened to hear about the loss of your mother. Even though me and my family only got to know Betty for a short time we remember her lovely smile and warm greeting whenever we met in the dining room at Eden Village. May she now rest in peace along with my mum.
