Bessie ASTON Obituary

ASTON, Bessie Isabel (nee Beer) Peacefully on 1st May 2015. Dearly loved wife of David. Wonderful, clever mother of her beloved children and treasured mother in law of Peter and Helen, Tim and Sharon, Robert and Ginni and Alan. Vibrant Nana of Rachael, Rebecca, Ruth, Nick, Ben, Sophie, Bess and Georgie. Great Nana of Samara, Max, Lyvia and Levi. "Cherished and loved by us all." A service and tribute of Bess' life will be held on Thursday 7th May 2015 at 1:30 p.m. at Sarnia Park, 151 Maungatautari Road, Cambridge followed by light refreshments. In memory of Bessie, donations to St. Johns Ambulance, Cambridge would be appreciated and can be left at the service.Cambridge Funeral Services FDANZ

I led my First Class Girl Guide hike to overnight on the farm, David rescued us from a tent site beside a rising river in heavy rain and we slept in the shearing shed. Bessie introduced me to the world of wool craft, taught me spinning, dying and weaving, and our friendship continued. My Mum Grace Elizabeth Bear, nee Beer loved her first cousin The research and effort of publishing her book Pleasant View was phenomenal, what a wonderful way to help ongoing generations of Beers connect to their family history. Bessie is such a great role model of a lovely, educated, talented and kindly woman.

A wonderful 2nd cousin (Mum Grace Beer/Bear) talented gifted lady and authress. I treasure my copy of "Pleasant View." Delighted to have had A Tea with her on 6 March while staying with sisterinlaw Gaye Miller at Laureston Park. My Sympathy and Condolences to her wonderful families.
