I´d like to say how devastated I felt when I read this sad news today, about Beryl´s passing (2 months ago now, surrounded by her loving family)
Poignant, because she introduced me to my Saviour and King, Jesus Christ, 51 years ago (May 6th, 1973)
My life´s direction, radically changed that day, because a young nurse, dedicated to the physical and spiritual wellbeing of her patients, dared to share her story of faith with me, a young man, who had almost lost all hope, was gloriously `saved.´
Truly, I know she must have been a great wife, mother, mother in law, grandmother, sister...also a friend and confidant, irreplaceable!
I am sorry for your loss, mine too! May I encourage you as you reflect upon her life; stand strong, have the courage of your convictions, we like her will receive our reward, if our faith in God´s saving grace endures to the end.
Most importantly, remember He holds on to you, not that we can bear our burdens alone, but He delights in us if we obey Him, He knows our frailties and weaknesses, but is still pleased to be called our Heavenly Father.
God bless and comfort you all.

I have only just learnt of Beryl´s passing. My acquaintance with her was through being a nurse at Greenlane hospital and also Valley Road Baptist in the 1970´s. I always remember her big smile and friendly laugh. Our blessed hope is that we will all be together again one day soon and I will listen out for that happy giggle. My condolences to Mark and all her family. Patricia van Baren (née Webb)

In the words of Everglow by Coldplay.....
they say people come and they say people go, this particular diamond was extra special
and you might be gone and the world may not know - still we see you celestial.

I'm so glad I got to catch up with Beryl at the Sandringham Centennial just a short while ago. Although it had been a while since I'd seen her, she still had the same beautiful smile, as she shared memories and photos of her beloved children and grandchildren. My love and prayers go out to you Mark and family as you grieve. May precious memories and the peace of God comfort you all. Much love, Gayle and Mark Gray

Dear Beryl, a special lady, a great nurse and a good friend who I first met at Greenland hospital in the 1970´s. My thoughts and prayers surround your family at this tough time. May they and all of us, your friends, find comfort in the memories we have of you and our times together.

We fondly remember dearest Beryl from her earliest days at Valley Rd Baptist; she was always smiling and loads of fun with an infectious laugh. A precious memory is of her speaking in church asking the Lord to simply make her "holy" .....words that had a profound impact upon my life. She sang in our Youth Choir and was always an enthusiastic starter for everything going on at church. We had many happy memories together at Algies Bay and I recall her doing a nursing placement at Dargaville Hospital where she visited our Bradley family.
You will be sadly missed by many but we know you are now rejoicing in the presence of your Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Until we meet again. Love from the Calder families ...Jeanette Pierson. Amanda Kilham, Geoff Calder and Sarah Woitasek. (and
and their spouses)
