Fond memories of visits to the Bracewell residence in Blomfield Spa, Takapuna, Auckland by John Mercer (now aged 81 and living in the Aspiring Retirement Village, Wanaka, Otago NZ). My mother, Mrs Una Mercer, used to make smocked dresses for the Bracewell girls and I delivered them from Hauraki Road, along Takapuna Beach, to Blomfield Spa...and that was in the late '30s or early '40s. Long time ago. Rest in peace, Belinda.
p.s. there was a very successful St Anne's reunion last year. It was amazing how many of the former pupils turned up!!!
