I deliveried meals to Mr Moss. It was a real pleasure just to have the opportunity to speak with him for a few minutes each week. It was inspiring to see someone who radiated concern for others and contentment with his life.

Basil was my Principal at Dandenong High School when I started my teaching career in 1975. I met my wife, Dianne a fellow staff member at the school and Basil and Eileen attended our wedding in 1979. They were a wonderful couple and Basil was an inspiration, mentor and a friend. A true gentleman who devoted so much of his life to state education. We will always remember him with affection. Michael and Dianne Kupsch.

I had the pleasure of teaching with Basil at my very first teaching school, Upwey High School. He was extremely supportuve of me and other new teachers. A great man and teacher. RIP Basil.
