Barry STONE Obituary

A descendant of C.J.Stone a prominent business man in Auckland in the 1840s. A founder of the B.N.Z., NZ Insurance and many others. Barry helped organize the Family reunion in 1991 to commemorate 150 years since the birth of Charles Burrell Stone the first white child born in Auckland. My paternal Grandmother was Mary Jane Stone (Lawry). RIP Barry

Many special memories of Uncle Barry. So sorry we couldn't be there in person to farewell the last of that generation of the Hunt family.

As a fellow surveyor, and an old friend of Barry's - a good friend of my Master Surveyor, Russ Fish, and his partner in their survey practice, Brian Thompson (Thompson & Fish) - I am sorry to learn of his passing.
He had a good life, and was always a cheerful companion. He was 2 years older than me and and a good NZIS member.
