Barry SCOTT Obituary

SCOTT, Barry Millan Oral Surgeon. Died peacefully in his sleep at home, aged 74. Cherished husband of Jenny (nee Walsh) for 50 years; adored father and father-in-law of Stephen and Jo, Jerome and Emma, Rupert and Ingrid, Felix and Claire; brother of Marlene (deceased), Sandra, and Roger; grandfather of Tara, Annabelle, Campbell, Edward, William and Florence. Suddenly he has gone from us, and left a hole no digger can fill. Funeral is on Saturday 5 March 2016 at St Mary's-in-Holy Trinity, 446 Parnell Road, 2pm.

Barry was a dear, kind and steady friend who many times generously "saved" members of our family with dental difficulties. Dear Jenny, Barry and the Scott family have given us many happy memories and continuous support over 50 years. Kate wrote about Barry "Last time I was speaking with him was a year ago when I rang from Berlin worried about my tooth. He was amazingly calming to talk with, a strong feeling of care - even over the huge distance." We offer gratitude and love to Barry, and to Jenny and the family in this new and sudden journey.

Barry I am sad that I won't be able to say goodbye in person. I have many happy childhood memories of you. The master model aeroplane, bomb maker and in later years Oral surgeon.
