Barry KINGTON Obituary

KINGTON, Barry William. On 6 January 2024 CST, Nashville (7 January 2024 NZST in the early hours of the morning) Barry William Kington, aged 83, our amazing husband, dad and granddad passed away peacefully with family. Much loved husband of nearly 61 years of Ilona, amazing, supportive and loving Dad/Dad K of Nicola, Laurene and Steve, Rochelle and Keith, Scott and Char, and very proud and adored granddad of Zac, Jaymeson, Cody and Ethynn. Also dearly loved brother of Melvyn and Ian, best friend to Carson and Snuggles and cherished uncle and friend of many. Will always be remembered as a true gentleman and dedicated family man. He will be truly missed. Friends and family are welcome to attend a celebration of his life on Saturday 20 January 2024 from 11 - 2 at his home where we can all share memories over a glass of his favourite Moët. Donations to SPCA in lieu of flowers please would be appreciated.

Loving thoughts to you, Ilona and all family members, at this sad time. Barry was my cousin, one of the many from our large family of the Moore/ Southon, ChCh family, and although we are all now spread around NZ, we had regular contact with each other for many years. Happy memories have been coming back to me at this time, family gatherings, 19 New Brighton Road, Shirley Methodist Church, to name a few. We are sorry to hear of your loss, words dont seem to say enough, but in some small way they may help to ease the pain you are all feeling. Deepest sympathy and our love go out to you all, Jennifer and Ron Weaver, ex Rotorua, now Tauranga, BOP.
