Barrie ANDERSON Obituary

ANDERSON, Barrie. On 20 September peacefully at home. Loved husband of Sina for 58 years. Cherished father and father-in-law of Chris and Gretchen, Kelly and Dion. Much loved Poppa of Callum and Freya. Brother of Don and Uncle of Steve. Life time member and past president of the Northcote Petanque Club and tournament director for Petanque New Zealand. A service for Barrie will be held at the North Shore Memorial Chapel, 235 Schnapper Rock Road, Albany on Thursday 25 September at 2pm.

I was sad to read that Barrie had left us. While I had not seen Barrie for over 3 decades, I still remember him when we worked for Rheem and particularly a budget meeting on Pakatoa Island. We both got blind drunk on the last night and still had the following day to get through. He was one of the good guys and my only regret is that we lost contact after I left Rheem RIP Barrie
