Jerry Lee Marable Obituary
"Loved for who you were, remembered for all you gave, and the laughs and lessons that will always remain with us" Jerry Lee Marable of Parker, Texas, passed away peacefully on September 29, 2025, three months after the passing of her husband of 66 years, Vincent Marable, Jr. Jerry was born on Valentine's Day, 1938 and Vincent was born April 3, 1938. They became next door neighbors in high school, both graduating from Woodrow Wilson High School in Dallas. Jerry attended SMU, graduating in 1958 and Vincent attended Baylor for 2 years before enlisting in the Army. Married on August 31, 1958, Jerry began teaching in the D.I.S.D while Vincent completed his military service. The first 30 years of marriage included raising three children, teaching, coaching, cooking, gardening, volunteering, running two businesses, surviving 3 different battles with cancer, and the loss of family members. Jerry returned to the workforce in 1988 as an appraiser for the Dallas Central Appraisal District while Vincent spent his later employment for the City of Dallas, both retiring in 2002. They built their final home in Parker, Texas with a large workshop and craft room to enjoy their numerous hobbies. The retirement years were spent together traveling to over 30 countries, enjoying and caring for grandchildren, and being active in the local community. Jerry and Vincent were preceded in death by their parents and step-mothers': J. B. Lee, Jozelle Lee, Maggie Lee, Vincent Marable Sr., Mildred Marable and Dorothy Reed; sister, Mary Lee; and son, Christopher Marable. Jerry and Vincent are survived by son Vincent "Tripp" Marable III and wife, Traci; son Todd Marable and wife, Carol; grandchildren Nathan, Megan, Amanda and William; and Jerry's brother, Doug Cord and wife, Tammy. Jerry and Vincent are interred together at the First United Methodist Church of Plano Columbarium, reflecting their everlasting love.
