Barbara DAVIS Obituary

DAVIS, Barbara Anne (nee Chetland). Born July 01, 1939. Passed away on December 25, 2022. Barbara Anne Davis (Chetland). Passed on 25th December 2022, aged 83 years after a brief illness. Much loved wife of Barry and the late John Chetland. Brother to Geoff. Dearly loved mother of Paul and Chris, mother-in-law of Hattie and Huia. Stepmother to Jacqueline and Bryce Davis and mother-in-law to Paul Hardey. Nana to Elena, Felix, Lucas, Zen-Awa, Manaaki, Bailey, Alysha & Ryan, Victoria and Briana. Friend to so many around the world. A celebration of Barbara's life will be held at All Saints Howick on the 7th January 2022 at 1pm. The family wish to extend their thanks to Dr Sue Blake in her exceptional care for Barbara. In lieu of flowers please support www.waipunahospice.org.nz.

Barbara was just the kindest person, always eager to help and such a bubbly personality, god mother to my daughter, Nikkie. She was a very special lady, I will miss those long letters and the pleasure we always felt on her visits back to England. I knew her from School and work. My deepest sympathy to her husband, Barry, who will miss her so much, also her sons, Paul and Chris.
