Barbara COWIE Obituary

COWIE, Barbara Lohoar (nee Doidge). passed away peacefully on October 12th, 2022 at Fairview Care, Albany, Auckland. Her husband Alan Cowie predeceased her. Barbara was born June 22nd, 1920 and she passed away October 12th, 2022. Barbara was the beloved mother of Elizabeth Palmer (David) Queenstown, New Zealand, Michael Cowie (Sharon) Canada/NZ and David Cowie, Rotorua, New Zealand. She was the dearest grandmother of Jonathan, Matthew (Jackie), Joanna, Andrew, Laura (Rob), Peter (Rachael) and Julia (Mark). She was also the special great-grandmother to fifteen great-grandchildren. Her brother Frederick Doidge will also dearly miss her. Throughout her life, Barbara took great comfort in her strong Christian faith. Memorial services will be held on October 28th, 2:00p.m. at Romaleigh Chapel, 31 Ocean View Road Northcote Auckland.
