I will miss you Ann, big sister watching over me, sometimes when I didn't want you to.
Remember you are not dead until the ladst person who remembers you is dead, so you will live on for a long time.

You were my aunt, but I never called you that except in jest. You were only a few years older than me, a lot of people at Karori School must have thought we were brother and sister. Perhaps you were the sister I never had!

Fond memories of days gone by John.

The first time I met you Ann was when you came to London with Kevin for his family reunion and I thought What a lovely couple. Then I saw you both again in Auckland and you made me feel so welcome. We met up many times after that.

GREAT MEMORIES Jackie.

Dear Big Sis,

Where do I begin, to measure your influence on my life? Here are just a few moments:

- I remember a sunny, beachy, summer holiday at your house in Plimmerton when I learned to actually like broad beans, straight from your garden.

- You spoke up, fighting on my behalf so the family would allow me to go to university, rather than apprentice me to a butcher.

- You gave up your own bed for me and my family for several weeks while we searched for a home when we emigrated back to NZ.

For the last few years, I've been living on the other side of the planet from you. And I almost always managed to forget your birthday. But your hospitality and generous spirit have been a great inspiration to me.

Remembering your shining light with great fondness,
Little bro
