Audrey MOYLE Obituary

MOYLE, Audrey Kathleen. Passed away peacefully at the age of 96, on Friday, 5th December 2025, at St Johns Wood Care Centre in Taupo. Audrey is deeply mourned by her four sons: Wayne, Peter, Warwick, and Andrew. She is also fondly remembered by their partners: Judy, Joce, Cathy, and Judith. Audrey's love and warmth extended to her grandchildren - Jeremy, Lucy, Susanna, Rebecca, Eleanor, Julia, and Kate, who will all miss her dearly. Her memory will live on through the cherished stories and recollections shared by her family. Audrey's legacy continues with her two great- grandchildren, Ada and Arthur. The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff at St Johns Wood Care Centre for the compassionate care provided to Audrey. A private gathering will be held in Taupo before she is taken to join her husband, Terry, in Taumarunui Cemetery. Wayne, Peter, Warwick, Andrew and your wider family, Barrie and I would just like to thankyou for letting us know and being able to share with you today the wonderful gathering and memories of Audrey who we too remember with such love and affection. It has been an inspiration and priviledge to be part of such a tribute to a wonderful lady we remember with love and affection since the 1960s as well Terry. So sorry to hear the sad news of Aunty Audreys passing
Always remember growing up living next door to you over hikumutu and then moving to golf road and sharing many more memories while Dad worked at the college.
Those were the days and I will never forget her gentle nature and how lucky you have all been to enjoy her till the age of 96

Audrey was the dental nurse at Manunui Primary School, where I was posted as a beginning teacher. Children did not dread going to the dental clinic because Audrey was so kind - many came back with a skip in their step. I am personally so grateful to Audrey. She asked a few gentle questions and realised that I was struggling with loneliness, so she suggested some activities like joining the local Drama club. Her watchful care made a huge difference to my experience in Taumarunui.
