Charlotte Foust Anderson Obituary

In the early morning hours on Oct 8, 2025 at the Lynchburg Hosp VA, Charlotte "Char" Opal Anderson passed away peacefully with her niece, Sheila Dreadfulwater Renshaw by her side.

Charlotte was born in Foster, OR Mar. 23, 1950 to William Theodore Foust and Clarine Opal DeWolf, joining five siblings Donna Willette, Joyce Elizabeth, Theodore Manning, Gary Arthur, and Roberta Clarine.

As a child, her family moved to Orofino and Grangeville Idaho before moving back to Oregon.

Char graduated from Cottage Grove H.S in 1968.

She married Michael Anderson. They lived in Anchorage Alaska where her pride and joy was born on May 17, 1971, Michael Anthony "Tony " Anderson.

They moved to Phoenix AZ and later to Auburn WA where their son Tony was tragically hit by a car and passed away Mar 17, 1981.

After Char and Michael's divorce, she attended CSU in Sacramento receiving her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology in 1987 and later received her Masters from the University of Oregon.

Char worked at Wards in Salem, then as a therapist in the remote regions of Alaska and later in Othello WA.

She moved to Forest VA to be close to her sister Berta.

She was always known as Auntie Char, a caring, loving, and fun Auntie to her neices and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her son Tony, her parents William and Clarine, grandparents Mr and Mrs John Foust and Mr and Mrs James DeWolf, all five of her siblings Donna Groat (Ralph "Buzz"), Joyce Dreadfulwater, Theodore "Ted" Foust, Gary Foust (Judy) and Roberta "Berta " Whitt .

Char is survived by a sister in law Judy Foust and many many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Chars wishes were to be cremated and have her ashes spread on her sons grave in Auburn, WA.

A Celebration of Life is planned, for early spring in Idaho hosted by her neice Sheila.
