BENNY, Athol Frederick. At peace with his God. 24 September 2023, Oakland Ultimate Care, Tauranga. Aged 99 years. Beloved husband and companion of Ngaire Esma Benny (nee Bycroft). Partners for 69 years. Loyal, loving and treasured father to: Graeme and Trina, Lynette and John; grandfather to Julia, Cynthia and Todd, Sara and Brendan, and Gareth; great grandfather to Ryker and Ronin, Hazel and Jasper. Step grandpa to Emma and Laura. Respected and devoted brother to the late Ralph, and late Zeala, and uncle to their families; and brother- in-law to Doreen and Rex, Gil and Beth, and uncle to their families. Trusted, friendly and lovely man to his many friends. A most Christian and principled gentleman, with a lifelong dedication to his Methodist faith and church.
