I worked with Art at Medic many many moons ago.
He was a wonderful & well respected colleague, had a great sense of humour, talked a lot of sense, always had time for others and fascinated us with his love for trains. God bless you Art, every time I see or hear a steam engine I will think not you.
Thinking of you all at this incredibly sad time.
Love Sally.xox

There are so many great childhood memories of Uncle Arthur. Family outings at Clarkes Beach, Waiwera, Blockhouse Bay and other places. Getting to ride in the back of the Dunlop van. Loving the old paddle boat of Terry's that he fixed up; he was always the practical one. Being jealous of the great swing and slide set he built for Megan and Christian. There is also a picture of me with a dressed-up chimp somewhere from an outing Pat and Arthur took me on when quite young. We used to love piling in to Gertie for our trips to Antrim Crescent, and later visits to Pikitea. Guy Fawkes nights, Christmas Days at Quadrant Road - he was such a large part of our lives. Only man I knew with a train station in his back yard. There was always laughter when he was around - we regret not having been able to spend more adult time with him. Arthur and Pat's wonderful marriage is something to aspire to, and the love he had for his family always shone through. Thankful that we will be able to virtually attend the service; Alex and I will be raising a glass (or two) to a wonderful man. Just wish we could be there to share stories with everyone at the post-match function.

A man with a character that was larger than life, whenever I think of him I smile. Pat, Megan and Christian you had an amazing and loving husband and father, as they say, when they made him they broke the mould. I send my love and thoughts to you and all his family and friends. A man who will be greatly missed but never forgotten. Love Catherine McMahon.
