I have very fond memories of Tup; we shared the same surname but our families were not related as far as I know. I met Tup about 30 years ago; I'd been asked many times if we were related. Tup was one of world's gentlemen, with a welcoming smile and a warm heart. My condolences to Gillian, Carolyn, Rebecca and Alistair (I don't recall meeting him). Kind regards Murray Radford

Tup came into my life 60 years ago .... the day I was born .Our family had the fortune of living next door to the Radford family in Seatoun Heights Rd and what a wonderful childhood it was . Swimming in their pool every day after school....every child in the neighbourhood was generously welcomed into their beautiful home at any time.
And in teenage years, more than one pool party was enjoyed . Gill had the patience of a saint.
Such a generous family provided so many wonderful memories . Holidays in Tarawera ....I vividly remember being carsick on the way there...poor Tup had to clean that mess up .
.Tup and Gill produced 3 beautiful, caring , very special children . To this day ,Carolyn (Rads ) remains one of my closest friends...we have travelled together and she is one the strongest, wisest ,most resilient and supportive women I know. I am so grateful to have her in my life.
My Mum will miss Tup´s stream of witty emails ...this is such a loss as Tup was the last of the five Dads in our neighbourhood ..The Radfords, Harrises,Bookers,Currys and Taylors .Such a tight knit circle....the kids all played together, the parents entertained together .Tup was the last man standing
From the Harris family to the Radford family ....sending all our heartfelt appreciation to you ...for providing us with so many treasured memories
With love always
Sue Harris. xx

One of my fondest memories was being interviewed by Tup for the job I then held for twenty years. I was looking terrible - in a denim skirt, with my hair under a scarf because it needed a wash. We obviously clicked on the phone because he somehow persuaded me to turn up. And after a chat we said pretty simultaneously, "Yes, I could work with you," and both burst out laughing. So sorry to hear he's gone. I often think about you all.

My parents , Flora and John McKay were close friends of Tup´s parents . As a result I saw a lot of Tup most especially at their family summer home at Gulf Road , Paraparaumu .
Tup had already left Scots College before I started . He admirably fulfilled the school motto "Let our education make an all round boy"
He excelled at everything he did and was a person I strove to emulate . Since we moved to the USA we had occasional contact via emails and I was aware of his generosity towards Scots College .
Sending
Arohanuis and hugs to Gillian who we first met when Tup was dating her . He was blessed with an exceptional wife and companion.
