Reverend Arthur Palmer is a true scholar and a gentleman. I met Arthur and Edna at St Andrews First Presbyterian Church in Symonds Street, Auckland. I remember Arthur for his firm handshake, warmth, sincerity and his willingness to impart the Gospel. Arthur became a true friend and I say unhesitatingly, that he was finest person that I have ever met. To Edna and all family, my most sincere condolences on the passing of Arthur. We have all truly lost a great one; they dont make them like Arthur any more. You will always be my Minister and please continue to send your blessings. God Bless.

So very sorry to learn of this. Arthur's gentle, always encouraging and happy friendship, and his clear delivery of biblical and theologically sound ministry will be greatly missed ... but thankful to know he is with Christ. Praying for Edna and all the family. Michael & Priscilla Drake

The legacy that Reverend Arthur Palmer has left behind for our family is that he accepted us for who we are. On arriving in Aotearoa from Samoa, he was our first church Minister at the St Mark's Presbyterian church Mangere East. His scriptural teaching has influenced us in all areas of our lives. Thank you for sharing your wisdom, for loving God and loving us.

PALMER, Arthur William (Reverend). Arthur's influence on my life began at Bombay Presbyterian Church. As a preacher, his sermons were always rich in scripture, compelling and influential. From a personal perspective, his commitment to me as a new believer will remain with me until my last breath. His entry into my life was God sent and I was blessed in so many ways including his service to my wedding and baptism. Arthur will always be remembered as a servant with immense sincerity of purpose for the love of God and all His children. I will miss you Arthur. My tears of grief are your tears of joy as you are now with the Father in the house of the Lord, for ever and ever, Amen
