Arthur Gallop Obituary
Powells Point resident
Arthur Anthony Gallop, 52, of 8146 Carotoke Highway, Powells Point, N.C., died on Wednesday, April 29, 2009, in Currituck County. Funeral services for Mr. Gallop will be conducted on Monday, May 4, 2009, at 2 p.m. at Pleasant Branch Baptist Church in Powells Point, N.C., with the Rev. James McCoy officiating and delivering the eulogy. The remains of Mr. Gallop will lie in state at the church on Monday from 1 to 2 p.m. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at 8146 Carotoke Highway. Mr. Gallop leaves to mourn his loss his mother, Sadie B. Gallop; one daughter, Arianne Gallop Webb of Greensboro, N.C.; one brother, Reuben Gallop Jr. of New York, N.Y.; four grandchildren, Lorain, Lendsey, Luke and Levi Webb; and a host of relatives and friends. Walson Funeral Home, 723 Parsonage Street, Elizabeth City, is making arrangements.

So much continues to happen. All 4 of our grand babies are no longer babies. They are 21, 19, 18, and 18. Its amazing how time has gone by so quickly. I still miss you and you're always by in my heart.

Thinking of you on this day. You'd be so proud of your daughter, Ariane. She's grown up to be such a strong young woman and Mom to her 4 children. Laurin and Lindsay are young adults now, and the twins aren't far behind. You have such a legacy.
