Oi aue Oi aue kua lele atu hetahi toa o Tokelau.

Tokelau has lost a son and very special friend RIP Professor Tony Hooper - you are simply the best teacher I have ever had.

You and your good works for Tokelau will live on in our hearts and in our history for all time. I thank God for you and your family, and all you have achieved in life - especially for blessings of light and understanding that your hard works of labour and love have shone to the world about pacific peoples, culture, history and humanity. It was a blessing to be one of thousands of students that have been enlightened and blessed with your lessons about humanity.

p.s.I remember never having any fear and always being able to drop in to your office when I needed help or an extension for an assignment and have fond memories of you getting us fish n chips for dinner when you got all Tokelau students together every Thursday evenings to help out with sorting out Tokelau words in the work towards the dictionary. Thanks for your light Teach - I ended up majoring in Anthropology in Dunedin and you were right I regretted moving there too early - was just not the same there without Tony and Judith Huntsman. Their teachings still holds me in good stead with my life and attitude to others, and also in my current work as a care and protection social worker in Gisborne.

p.s I know your many good Toke friends like our dad Ropati Simona will def be celebrating your arrival in heaven with a fatele
We pray that God watch over, comfort and strengthen your beloved family in the days ahead and always.
