Antonius RUITERMAN Obituary

Loek , Rick, Anita , Richard ,Don & family give our deepest condolences to Lulu, Theo, Wim, Cris, Sonja, Monique, Thomas and Nicklas. With the loss of our brother Tony. He was the ankerman of all his brothers and sisters emigrated to this country. Tony was a hard working brother and had a mind of his own. Toon rest in peace.

My condolences to Tony´s family. May your grief be lessened by your memories of a larger than life man who is missed by every one that knew him - farmers, rowers, sailors, boat builders, and many others. The master competitor, tough skipper and Wainui icon. RIP

Condolences to Tony´s family on this sad occasion.I first met Tony through Rowing back in the 1960s. He was my hero back then.Also came across Tony at the Rotary Yatch races at Kauwau Island . An amazing boat , Andre his brother did the photography for the Weymouth Rowing Club in the 1960s. Mike Ruiterman has been a great dedicated team leader at the Counties Manukau Rowing Club at Mercer over many years. Another great example of the continuing mark of the Ruiterman family.

There's to much to say here but if we were sum you up it was you were always in your "happy place" if you were on the land working. Sorry, to hear of Tony's passing.
Sadly, I cannot be there as I am now living in Taumarunui area, and preparing to fly to Australia for a long earned holiday. RIP Tony.

RIP Tony! You were a unique generous friend and we always enjoyed socialising and going dancing with you. We have never met another man as hard working, ambitious and determined as you. You have left a mark on New Zealand and will remain in our hearts and minds forever.
