Antonius BERG Obituary

I corresponded with Tony for many years while he ran the Taupo Hospice website, we grew such regular corresponders that we shared views on health care, my mother's illness and many other things. He was a very pleasant, kind and genuine man, I was very sad to hear he was sick and then to read he has passed away. Rest peacefully Tony, it was a pleasure to know you, my condolences Corrie and family. Sue Thomson

We first met the Bergs in January 1997 when we stayed at the Duchess ,We spent many nights there over the next 3 years .Tony was always a smiling happy face and always made us feel welcome in our favourite room --number 7 , I explained to him I wanted my egg yoke broken and upside down and done so it wasnt runny .Tony looked at me in horror and said really ! , why dos,nt everybody.We have happy memories of the Bergs and the Duchess and send our love to both Corrie and to Jim who we also delt with many times .
