I am so sorry to hear of Toni's death and so sad for Todd, Holly, Kate and Jo and their lovely families. Its so awful to lose a parent and my heart goes out to you all. Toni was a wonderful aunt, I have so many great memories of visits to the Sylvester's house and the lovely meals, fun and games and trips to the cinema we had in the big city of Auckland. Toni was always calm and kind and took great care of us country folk up visiting. I loved going into her kitchen and grinding the coffee, it smelled and sounded so lovely, very sensory. Toni also made the best ginger beer ever, to this day I still love ginger beer but none is as nice as my Kiwi Aunt Toni's. Every time I came home to NZ Id be invited to visit with Toni and Ron and it was lovely to be with my family again, lovely homemade cooking and lots of lovely garden chat. I absolutely adore trees now, here in Ireland, and I put that down to the influence of Toni and Ron and my Dad too and the magnificent things they did with gardens and trees. Toni was always calm, gentle and kind, a true lady and a wonderful sister to my Dad, her brother Clark.
Finally..Toni helped me when I gave birth to Ben, I was alone and scared and she came and held my hand and helped me through it. I'll never forget that.
Rest in peace Toni, I know you are reunited with the ones who love you, in a beautiful garden somewhere heavenly. I'll never forget you. xoxox Love from your niece-Tracy
