Anthony VARCOE Obituary

VARCOE, Anthony Wentworth (Bill). On 5 February 2026 aged 96 years, our magnificent Bill passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loved ones. Beloved husband of his beautiful late wife, Claire. Adored father and father-in- law of Christine and Noel, Nigel and Janine, Richard and Claudine, Gillian, Janet. Dearly loved brother and brother-in-law of Roger, Sheila, Christine, James and Julia, and treasured uncle to his wonderful nieces and nephews. Precious Grandad to James, Olivia, Matthew, Jessica, Madeleine, Alice, Courtney, Natalie and Rachael; and great-grandad to Fletcher, Henry, Annabelle, Ruby, Archie, Kaia, Flynn and a soon-to-arrive baby boy. The family extend their deepest thanks to Sieli for her compassionate care. A celebration of Bill's life will be held at Purewa All Saints Chapel at 2pm on Thursday 12 February.
