Anthony Quinn Obituary

QUINN, Anthony (Dr Tony). Peacefully at Hastings Memorial Hospital on Sunday 31 July 2011, aged 87 years. Much loved husband of Norah (Napier), beloved father and father in law of Marianne and Rainer (Dunedin), Jane and Kemble (Hamilton), John and Shardell (Hamilton), Tony and Elke (Exeter, UK), Helen (Napier), Cathy and Paul (Auckland), Michael (deceased), and Anna and Brynn (Auckland). Loved Poppa Tony of Jake, Beth and Gabbie, Josh and Harriet, Annika and Helena, Oliver, Theo and Nate, Hugo and Henry. Requiem Mass will be celebrated at St. Joseph's Catholic Church, St. Joseph's St, Waipukurau on Friday 5th August 2011 at 11:30am followed by interment at Waipukurau Cemetery. Rosary will be recited at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Munroe St, Napier on Thursday 4th August 2011 at 3:30pm. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Cancer Society. These may be left at the service or posted to P.O. Box 1014, Hastings 4156. The family extend their sincere thanks to John Jamieson for his support over many years and to Dr Peter Foley and the staff of Princess Alexandra Retirement Village for their care of Tony in the last twelve months.
