Anthony FITZGERALD Obituary

FITZGERALD, Anthony Robert (Tony). Passed away peacefully at Auckland City Hospital on Thursday 4 July 2024 aged 74. Son of the late Tony and Joan Fitzgerald (Christchurch) Loving father and father-in-law of Jodie and Scott Bennett, Kristen and Matt Leigh, Debbie and Steve Dixon (UK) and grandfather to his six grandchildren (George, Jonnie, Henry, Rosie, Annabelle and Chloe). Loved brother of Barry, Kevin, Brian, and Tim. To enable family to travel from overseas, a celebration of Tony's life will be held in late August.

Sending love & our deepest condolences to Tony´s family. Louise & I were so sad to hear of his passing. We have such fond memories of fun times working together & beyond with our lovely friendship. I am so upset and sad over Tony passing. He has been one of the kindest and most loyal of friends to me, particularly since I had an accident in September 2018 and became a Tetraplegic. Tony came to see me every third day, both in the hospital and in the Spinal Unit. God bless you my friend. All my love, Bradley Watson.
