Anthony DICKINSON Obituary

DICKINSON, Anthony Neil (Tony). Passed away surrounded by loved ones on 20 June 2023, after a long and sometimes cruel battle with dementia and Parkinson's. Despite the arduous journey that Tony went through, especially in the past few years he always managed to find that sparkle within him that he was renowned for throughout his life. This wonderfully generous, humorous and positive disposition is what makes the people who survive him, his wife Val, sister Ann, children Tracy, Jo, Chris and Matt, their spouses Mike, Tim, Kelly and Lucy, and grandchildren Liam, Hayden, Ryan, Cameron, Hannah, Nick, Heidi, Lily, Charlie and Bruno, so immensely full of love and pride for him. A funeral service is being held at All Saints Purewa 100 St John's Road, Meadowbank, Auckland on Monday 26 June at 2pm.

Hi Val - we were saddened to read of Tony's passing. Although we haven't been in touch for many years, we remember him as an outgoing and friendly character. Tony was not only a friend but a colleague of whom I had the greatest respect.

Hi Val
We would like to share our condolences with you and your extended family. I know we have lost touch in recent times however our memories of Tony as part of the crew on Carriere during the mid week racing is forever in our minds,he was a great bartender and a pleasure to have had on our crew.
It is with regret to advise we are unable to attend
Tony´s service as both Mary and I are in the last stages of having Covid.
Our thoughts wii be with you
