Annette SHARP Obituary

Sharp, Annette Edith. 13 February 1952 - 27 July 2025 Sadly passed away at St Johns Care Home Epsom, Auckland after a life well lived. Daughter of the late Thomas Murray and Edith Sharp. Cherished sister and sister-in-law of Ronald Murray and Anne Sharp. Respected Aunt of Michael and Heather Sharp and Edward Sharp. Great Aunt of Thomas and Eilidh Sharp. Early education in Gisborne, then a science graduate of Massey and Victoria Universities. Member of the North Shore Squash Club and represented Auckland as an A grade squash player. Long serving former Deputy Principal at Westlake Girls High School and former Principal at New Plymouth Girls High School and former principal Epsom Girls Grammar School. After retirement graduated with a MBA from Auckland University. Served on the board of Auckland Netball for several years. A very intelligent complex adaptive systems thinker. As per Annette's wishes a private cremation has taken place. Rest in Peace.

Annette, you are remembered with affection as a colleague from so long ago at Westlake GHS. Annette introduced "computer studies" in the 70s ... so girls learned HTML and COBAL!!
