NIGHTINGALE, Anne Therese CBE. Born 2 March, 1932. Died on 14 March, 2025. Died peacefully at home in Eden Village. Beloved sister of Mary and sister- in-law of Bill (deceased), and dearly loved Aunty Bud to Greg and Nicola, Ben and Tabitha, Courtney and Ryan, and Dan; Carmel and Bill, Brendan and Sara, Matt and Kayleigh; Megan and Phil; Andrew and Annie; Anthea (deceased); Rachael and Matt, Finton (Munch) and Olivia; Siobhan and Scott, Will, Lilly and Keira. Loved Great Great Aunt of Harrison, Remy, Max, Rosie, Ethan and Oliver. A Requiem Mass will be celebrated for Anne at 11am on Friday 21st March 2025 at St Mary's Catholic Church, Mt Albert, followed by burial at the Wellsford Cemetery at 3pm. Eternal rest grant unto her, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon her. May her soul and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace.

Hello Mary and family.
This is Ora Vidak nee Windelburn ex Maungaturoto now in Auckland
living at Edmund Hillary Village husband Paul.
I am a volunteer at Auckland hospital and did catch up with Anne a little
while ago which was lovely. I send my love and many thoughts to you all.

Miss Nightingale is highly respected as a nurse and midwife. She has made a significant contribution to health services for women and babies over decades. It was an honour to attend her funeral service today. A woman of dignity and commitment who will be remembered with respect and appreciation for a life well lived. Thank you.
