Anna Geddie Obituary

GEDDIE, Anna Eleanor (nee Rankin). Born 27 April 1924 Lisnaskea, Northern Ireland. Passed away 16 August 2011 at Wesleyhaven Hospital, Naenae, Wellington New Zealand; aged 87 years. 2nd eldest child of William Francis and Charlotte Sophia Rankin. Beloved wife of the late Douglas Geddie and dearly loved sister of Jean Shannon, Billy Rankin, the late Marie Emanuel and the late Hallie Woodburn. Most dearest aunt of Aloela and husband Don Davies and loved great-aunt Adam, Isaiah and Sarah- Marie. Dearly loved by her nieces and nephews overseas Paul, Philip, Dorothea, Janet, Heather, Richard, Linda and Alan. Treasured by her many friends both in NZ and abroad. A special thank you to the Black family, Cody family and Mary Coppins for the enduring friendship and support shown to Anna and Aloela. A very special thank you to caregivers Maureen and Ellen who assisted during Anna's stay in Wainuiomata, and finally the appreciation of our family and Anna had for the wonderful loving care shown to her during her 3 year stay by all the caregivers at Wesleyhaven Hospital. A service for Anna will be held in Cornwall Manor, corner of Knights Road and Cornwall Street, Lower Hutt on Saturday 20 August 2011 at 11.00am followed by private cremation at Akatarawa.
