ANDERTON, Andy. The dance shoes are hung up, the footie boots stored away, the lights are off and on Wednesday 28 November 2018, Andy left the building! Very loved, irreplaceable husband of Beverley and previously Jenn. Exceptional Dad to Leigh, Terri, Catherine and Emily, and special Dad to Natascha, Royston and Tamzyn. Granddad of 12 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. A big life lived with love, commitment and determination. Special thanks to Dr Bernard Cammack, Mary Potter Hospice, and the Kapiti Retirement Trust. With fond memories and humour, come and honour Andy at his service at the Funeral Home Chapel, 9-11 Hinemoa Street, Paraparaumu on Monday 3 December 2018 at 11am. Please bring a garden flower for Andy's casket. Donations in Andy's memory to the Mary Potter Hospice would be appreciated and may be left at the service. Hi Beverley. I used to work (2006 - 2012) in The Beehive, knew who you were, and knew Andy even better. Then I met you both again at the Tea Dances the X7s Dance Band used to hold at the Paraparaumu Mediterranean Food Warehouse, where I was on the door, and my husband played trumpet in the band. When I spotted you without Andy last night/New Year's Eve, I guessed that the dreaded had happened, and would most definitely have attended Andy's life celebration, had I known. He was one of a kind, one in a million, and his heart was one big smile. Go forward in peace and love, with your beautiful memories tucked forever in your heart and soul. Tony and Maureen send their sincere condolences to all the family and especially to our dear sister Beverley. We feel so privileged to have known Andy and for the lovely times we spent with him.
