Andrew FRIEND Obituary

FRIEND, Andrew David (Andy). Born August 31, 1984. Passed away on October 23, 2016. It is with great sadness that we, Michael, Cheryl and Jessica, mourn the passing of our much loved son and brother Andrew, aged 32 in Sweden, after a brief but gallant battle with pancreatic cancer. Loved husband of Linn and father-to-be of baby Alexander, due 2017. A former Pilot Officer in the RNZAF, Andrew?'s memorial service is to be held at RNZAF Whenuapai Base on Saturday, 12 November 2016, commencing at 10.00am. Those intending to be present at Andrew?'s memorial must, for security reasons, provide their full name by email to [email protected] no later than 12.00pm noon, Thursday 10 November 2016. Photo ID (Drivers Licence or Passport) must be presented at the security gate entrance to the base before access will be granted. You fought a brave and courageous battle. Precious memories of you will remain in our hearts forever.

So sorry to hear of Andrew's passing. My condolences to all his family. I knew him at Air Training Corps when we were younger and always thought he was a lovely person, smart, determined and friendly. My heart goes out to his wife and future son.
