BARNETT, Andrea Betty Passed away at Middlemore Hospital on Thursday 8th February 2024. Wife of the late Kevin. Loving Mum to Christopher (deceased). Caring Mother-in-law of Phillippa. Cherished Nana of 5 and Great Nana of 10. Loving sister of Graham Brown and loving Aunty to his children. A funeral service for Andrea will be held on Thursday 15th February 2024 at 10.30am in the St David's Anglican Church, 813 Great South Road, Wiri. Andrea was a member of the LA (Lower Auckland) Bookclub for 18 years. She was an avid reader and brought to us a love of non-fiction, especially New Zealand history and biography .She had an amazing recall of what she had read and was clear in her comments and recommendations.
The following words say it all :
I ask on thing, that at a Bookclub meeting those who knew me will suddenly pause, caught by some words - some phrase - some trick of memory shared - which will bring her to our minds, and she will wait hoping to hear them say - "how great if Andrea were here" and then softly the words "She was our Bookclub friend".
