HOWIE, Amy. Died peacefully on 19th May 2012. Surrounded by her family. Aged 88 years. Loving wife of the late Nook Howie. Treasured mother of Gaye, Robyn, and the late Stephen. Mother-in-law of John and respected friend of Graham. Loved Narnie to Christopher and Kasia, Lucy, Richard and Debbie, and Alistair; great grandmother to Caius, Natrell and Saige. Teacher and mentor to many. A service to celebrate Amy's life will be held at St Clare's Church, 97 Tuhikaramea Road, Dinsdale, Hamilton, today, Tuesday 22nd May at 11.00 a.m. followed by private cremation. In lieu of flowers donations would be appreciated to St. John Ambulance and may be left at the service or posted to Private Bag 3215, Hamilton. Mrs Howie was an amazing teacher and mentor to me back at Sacred Heart College many years ago. A kind and gentle lady and the best teacher I ever had. I last saw her about 15 years ago and have always had fond memories. Condolences to the family.
