I absolutely loved Amber in The New Adventures of Black Beauty...I have very fond memories of her...I wanted to be her, as a child. I was very sad to just hear, that she had passed away at such a young age. I know she and Black Beauty will be galloping away in Heaven x

I grew up watching Amber on Channel 4 in Strangers in 1990 and then when she starred in New Adventures of Black Beauty. Whenever I watched Amber, she took me away from the nightmare world I was living in at the time. In a strange way, the episode of 'Hope' in Black Beauty saved my life. I wish I had a chance to say thank you to her in person. She touched so many people's lives and no doubt she had no idea. I would like to offer my deepest sympathy to her friends and family. She was taken away far too young. I know she will be at peace and looking down on her friends and family from high above as no doubt that was the kind of person she was. RIP, Amber, and thank you for bringing light to my life when there was darkness.

Somebody posted the opening to the Black Beauty series and it filled me with nostalgia.
I came to google what you were doing now and was sad to see you'd passed.
Reading the obituary, it was obvious you were much loved.

Dear Amber,

Six years ago my mum sent you an email explaining how much I loved the series The new adventures of black beauty, and that I used to act it out all the time you even sent me a letter and some photos of you as Vicky with the horse black beauty. One thing I can really remember is pretending that I was Vicky and running around the house acting out you delivering the mail I had so much fun! I wanted to email you six years later because now I am finally old enough to say a massive thank you for sending me that letter. You probably won´t believe me but I still have your letter and photos, You are my most favourite actor and I hope too be like you some day it may sound like this is all exaggeration but I´m telling the truth. This morning my mum read me the email conversation you had and when she read the last email that you sent about how to view the house from the set and she told me that she has been waiting for me to be old enough to see it so she said we can go and see it and I started crying tears of joy. Have now planned to watch the series tomorrow morning and this evening with my babysitter.

I have just at this moment learnt of Amber's passing. I'm stuck for words and numb with the knowledge, I'm so glad to have been able to know you personally and feel very saddened by this news. You have only ever shown the people around you kindness and enduring joy to life with laughter, thank you for sharing this with us all.

I have just discovered the sad news of Amber's passing and could not quite believe what I was reading.
I had the pleasure of meeting Amber and fellow cast members during filming as it was my dog Chad that was used in S1 E6 'Fear of Water'
For such a young person she was brilliant and very professional. RIP Amber

I just learned of Amber McWilliam's passing several days ago, and it shocked and saddened me deeply. As a child, I loved watching her portray Vicky Denning in The New Adventures of Black Beauty. She was perfect; it's like the part was made for her. Her talent, maturity, and passion was always evident. She had a brilliant smile, beautiful long hair, and honest eyes. Thank you, Amber, for your impact on my childhood. You made me wish to live in New Zealand, riding horses up and down the green hills. To her dear family and friends: I am so sorry for your loss. I have just found out that Amber died two years ago. I am very saddened to hear this as I always enjoyed the New Adventures of Black Beauty and watched it avidly each week as a child. Amber was very talented and spirited. It's a shame she didn't continue her acting career. I am lucky enough to have the New Adventure of Black Beauty on DVD and always watch them when I am ill as I find it comforting. My thoughts and condolences to her family and friends. Alas taken too early but will never be forgotten by those whose lives she touched.

My thoughts and prays will be with Amber's family on the 30th. I am truly sorry to learn of her passing, taken from this world far-far-too young. I remember her from The New Adventures of Black Beauty and how she made me smile. RIP.

Hello-I am Carole Curtis -mother of Andy Curtis and I so remember dear Amber-she and Andy acted together for a while when they were bubbly young children and I have such lovely memories of her and Vanya and the chair in the flat where photos were taken. I send you my love Vanya, this must e a very hard time
