Alva Lorene Burchell, 85, of Springfield, Missouri, a Sunday School Teacher at the Broadway United Methodist Church, passed away at Springfield Residential Center on the morning of Sunday, August 27, 2000. Visitation is scheduled for Monday, August 28, 2000, 6:30-7:30 p.m., at Herman Lohmeyer Funeral Home, 500 East Walnut Street, Springfield. Funeral services are scheduled for Tuesday, August 29, at 1 p.m., officiated by the Rev. Hank Foster. Burial will be at Springfield National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of Southwest Missouri, 1465 East Primrose, Suite A, Springfield, MO 65804. The family would like to thank the staff of Springfield Residential Center for their loving care.
