My parents Tony & Ivka Pivac were lifelong friends of both George & Alma. Mum was Alma's Bridesmaid when she married her beloved George in Te Kuiti. I have the most cherished memories of Alma from sharing many Christmas lunches to Marakopa, Mokau and Awakino beach holidays. Alma loved nothing more than sitting on the beach with George, enjoying champagne and chocolates watching the sunset. Dad and George were great mates and had many laughs together. Mum and Alma both loved cooking and their gardening, Alma had many beautiful roses. She loved pink! Alma had a wonderful sense of humour which she shared with Dad. I will always have very fond memories of the wonderful person Alma was.

George was my first cousin George's mother and my mother were sisters Alma was George's beloved wife. We all lived closely as a strong Croatian family in the King Country. We had truly wonderful family times. Alma was just delightful we all loved her. Alma was an amazing cook we all enjoyed her cooking at family gatherings. Alma was very close to my Dad they got on very well together and always supported each other. Alma George and Jay were regular visitors to our beach cottage at Marokopa we all just loved being at the beach. Alma enjoyed relaxing and catching up with her reading. George and my Dad were excellent fishermen and made sure we were all well fed. Jay myself and cousin Russell spent hours just enjoying the beach. Alma was always there for us Alma was a great Mum and wife. She was hardworking and a 'ray of sunshine' to be with. My husband John worked for Alma and George as a Pharmacist in their shop in Te Kuiti. We send our love to the family at this sad time you are in our thoughts. Alma is now at peace with her darling George.
