Allison GIBSON Obituary

GIBSON, Allison Margaret. Born on 27 September 1938, Allison died peacefully at Howick Baptist Healthcare on 10 January 2023. Eldest daughter of Sam and Alice Gibson of Dunedin, Allison was the dearly loved sister of Marjory (and Len) McSaveney, Graeme Gibson (deceased) and Bruce Gibson; loved sister-in-law of Louise Freeman, cherished aunt of Alice Freeman and a much-loved member of the Dunedin City Baptist Church community. Allison worked as a midwife in Roxburgh, Balclutha, and Dunedin, and for 7 years in Bangladesh with the NZ Baptist Missionary Society. Allison was a gentle, quiet woman who coped with physical adversity with courage and grace. She will be greatly missed.
