WAETFORD, Allan Russell (Russell). Born May 04, 1950. Passed away on May 07, 2023. Our ad to the herald E ngaa mana E naa reo E ngaa rau rangatira maa Teenaa taatou kaatoa Kua rere toona wairua, E rere wairua, e rere It is with reverence and solemnity that we announce the graduation of our beloved Allan Russell Waetford from te ao kikokiko nei ki te ao wairua. Our beautiful father and 'Pop' was guided to the veil by our mother and entered into the rest of the Lord, where our Saviour Jesus Christ and tupuna were awaiting him, 7 May 2023. He was surrounded by his eternal sweetheart Rebecca, children Cydell, Laloma, Valdez, Heleina, Fleur and Dezarae and two generations of mokopuna as he graduated. Our Taonga will be lying in state at Ngaararatunua marae, 2 Church St, Ngaararatunua, Whangaarei from 11am Tuesday 9th May 2023. All are welcome to join with us to celebrate his life together. His final graduation service will take place, 11am 10th May 2023 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, King George St, Hikurangi. Our father's legacy to us is one of gratitude, He exemplified the following scripture: "...that they might give thanks to the Lord their God...and...keep the commandments of God, that they might rejoice and be filled with love towards God and all men. And behold, I tell you these things that ye may learn wisdom; that ye may learn that when ye are in the service of your fellow beings ye are only in the service of your God."Mosiah 2:4,17.
