Over the past twenty years, Allan and I met intermittently, usually to either purchase or dispose of photographic equipment, but also occasionally to enjoy each other's company over a cup of coffee. I will miss him and I extend mt deepaest condolences to Francy and Rhys at this time of sadness, and offer my sincerest apologies for missing his memorial service.

I only knew Al for four years or so but we bonded on our love of jazz and classic cars. Our group 'AJQ' also developed far better than we had hoped and will continue as just one way of celebrating Al's contribution to our lives. Sympathies to Frances and Rhys and I am sorry that my own battles prevented my being at his memorial event. Terry Collier

Alan Jenkins was a good friend, for many years. I mostly knew Alan as a musician, top jazz guitarist. Well recall the first time I heard him, many years ago. A hot sunny afternoon in the Dell at Summer City, his quartet playing Summer time. Later, in totally different atmosphere he lifted the roof one night blasting Ghost riders with the City Rockers. I was lucky enough to work with Alan a few times. A memorable gig was a Music of France concert up at the Pines in July 2004; he and I duoed on lead and rhythm in a Django Reinart tribute. Not all good players are nice guys. Alan was. Always supportive and generous he offered me his American made Fender to take away on a tour.My love and condolences to Frances and Rys.
