McAUSLAN, Alistair Kerr. Peacefully in Tauranga on 12th August 2025. Dearly loved husband of Trish. Brother in law to Don and Elrose, Robin and Kay and their families. A service for Alistair will be held at Hillsdene Chapel, 143 13th Ave, Tauranga on Saturday 16th August at 11am. Messages to the McAuslan family C/- PO Box 650, Tauranga 3144.

My condolences to Trish and the McAuslan family. Alistair was my mathematics teacher in Dannevirke and our basketball coach. I later met up with Alistair occasionally when he was in Taumarunui. He was a great fellow, and great coach, albeit he hit me over my head with my mathematics examination paper in the 7th form. He had given me a good reference earlier in the year. I think he thought I had stopped working. He was right!
