Alison MATHER Obituary

MATHER, Alison Mary. Peacefully passed away 1st October 2022 aged 86 years. Beloved wife of the late Robert Mather. Much loved mum and mother-in-law of David and Tina, Brian and Ali, Lynne and Craig, Graeme and Cindy. Adored nana of her grandchildren and great grandchildren. "Alison had a life where she loved and was loved. Her joy came from family and friends. She loved teaching and seeing children flourish in life." The Mather family wish to thank the staff of Jane Mander Retirement Village for their loving care of their mum and nan. Alison's service will be held at Maunu Crematorium Chapel, Cemetery Road, Whangarei at 2.30pm Friday 7th October 2022. In lieu of flowers, Alison's family request that donations are made direct to Dementia New Zealand. All communications to the "Mather" family c/- PO Box 8043, Kensington, Whangarei, 0145.

To the Mather family, I was saddened to hear about mum´s passing. I absolutely cherish the wonderful memories of both mum and dad (who was my all time favourite teacher) at Pihama. Love and prayers to you all.

Our heart felt condolences to the Mather family. Mr and Mrs Mather were all our Fav teachers at Pihama Primary School, I often thought of them and the kids we all went to school together. A very humble and beautiful lady, Rest in love Mrs Mather. God Bless all her family.
