Alice Mary SINNOTT Sr.

Alice SINNOTT Obituary

SINNOTT, Sr Alice Mary, RSM, (formerly Sr M Roberta). Loved and respected member of Nga Whaea Atawhai o Aotearoa Sisters of Mercy New Zealand. Born 24 July in 1938 in Co. Wexford, Ireland, and died peacefully on 6 January 2025 at The Little Sisters of the Poor, Ponsonby. Loved daughter of Robert and Annie and cherished sister to Anne (Nancy), Patrick (deceased), James (deceased), Catherine (deceased), Patrick (deceased), Mary, Edward (Eddie), Kathleen, Eileen, and their families. A Vigil Service for Sr Alice will be held on Monday 12 January at 7pm at St Mary's Chapel, 7 New Street, Ponsonby where Requiem Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday 13 January at 10.00am, followed by interment at Waikaraka Cemetery, Neilson Street, Onehunga. Kia okioki ia i runga i te Rangimarie. May she rest in peace. Ar dheis De go raibh a hanam dilis. May her faithful soul be at God's right hand. God bless my Dear Auntie Alice. I loved it as a wee boy in Ireland when her Airmail letters would arrive and we would all sit to hear about life on the other side of the world. She was a beautiful soul and will be missed.
