Geoffrey & Ardella
June 10, 2023
I have a very tenuous connection to Alec. My dear cousin Karen and her siblings found out much later in life than they would have liked that Alec was their Uncle. Karen had such wonderful things to say about "her Uncle Alec" that I had to meet him when my wife (Ardella) and I traveled to NZ in 2010. Alec and Heather couldn't have been more welcoming. They hosted us to a lovely lunch at their home and later invited us to a picnic with several of their children and grandchildren at a local beach park. It was a memorable afternoon for us. Years later I was fortunate to read Alec's autobiography and learn much more about his very interesting background. I think it is a heartwarming and marvelous story how he went from being alone in an orphanage in Northern Ireland to having such a wonderful wife and large family in a beautiful area of the world. We extend our heartfelt condolences to the entire Moore family on their loss. With our very best wishes, Geoffrey & Ardella Thompson, Victoria, British Columbia, Canada.
