I was deeply saddened to hear that Leigh had passed away and my warmest condolences go to you Matt and Robyn, Julie and Paul and your children, and to you Pat.
Sadly Leigh and I had lost touch over recent years although I thought of him fondly and and speak of him often. He was charming, interesting, fun to be around and had a very infectious laugh. He was one of a kind! Many of my memories of Leigh include car dogs, home made beer, water dogs, lunch at the Duke of Marlborough, ball dogs, planes, rabbit dogs, knitting, cheeky tarts, Pober Pixie, “don't forget your mittens”, boats and walks to the beach with who else but dogs. Because of Leigh all new dogs learn offala car, mibadoo and, in a slight deviation from the original, “did somebody say rodents?” I will keep warm memories of Leigh and his Cocker Spaniards strolling the shores of Russell.
With much love and a sad heart
