GARDYNE, Alexander David. On December 25, 2011 in Wellington, aged 91. Born 21 February 1920 in Waikaka, Southland, later lived in Wellington and Waikanae. Loved husband of the late Celia (nee Sclater) and father, father-in-law and grandfather of Fraser, Naomi, Lucy and Maggie (Auckland); Stuart, Janey, Christopherson, Mackenzie and Taieri (Wellington); Mary and Max Willing, Ngakeita, Ruby and Ira (Waikanae); Alison and Malcolm Todd, Joe and Rowan (Palmerston North). Loved son of the late Robert Hill and May (Elder), Brother of Edna, George, Elsie, James, Gordon, Albert, Ernest and Andrew. A service to celebrate Alexander's life will be held in the Waikanae Funeral Home Chapel, cnr Omahi Street and Kapanui Road, Waikanae, on Thursday December 29, at 3:00pm, followed by private cremation at Kaitawa Crematorium.
